Family get-togethers

The Support Group organises periodic get-togethers, conferences and social events that provide families with an opportunity to share information, experiences and friendship.

There are usually two events per year – generally in spring and winter.

Up to date information is a key aspect of the events, with speakers on a variety of topics and discussion groups giving families the chance to talk openly with others living with RTS.

The children also have the opportunity to have fun with entertainers, craft activities and maybe a visit from the Easter Bunny or Santa according to the time of year.

Some events offer the opportunity to take part in research projects that aim to understand the syndrome better and ultimately help parents and carers.

RTS Support Group members are encouraged to join in, catch up with old friends, meet new friends and benefit from the support on offer.

Our most recent event – Cadbury World

Our most recent event in September '19 welcomed over 50 people from 16 family groups to Cadbury World in the Midlands. The event was subsidised and lunch was provided. A good time was had by all and generous goodie bags were particularly popular

RTS Support Group Fundraising Events

The Support Group aims to organise two official fundraising events annually. The type of event may vary from year to year but recently have included a summer RTS Golf Day and a winter RTS Sportsman’s Dinner.

Our current fundraising initiative is RTS Active, see the homepage for details of how to join in and donate or visit the JustGiving page at the button below.
